A Coffee and My Blog

March 31, 2008

What I like with coffee is it makes me very alive and thinking a lot of things. Coffee really help me a lot in posting a lot of "meaningful posts" on my blog. Actually, I can’t think of anything to posts on my blogs if I was not able to drink my coffee.

My Filipino web designer & programmer blog really has a great traffic due to its tips It provides. Actually it become successful because the time I’m working with the posts, I was drinking my favorite coffee. Nescape Gold with Coffee Mate :D , it’s cheap but that’s the only coffee I can afford to buy. I want to buy a "BARAKO" coffee or "ALAMID" coffee but it’s not available in our place so I just can’t do about that! Well, if I could go to Batangas i will try to buy a lot of coffee beans.

I Just Tasted Davidoff Coffee

March 13, 2008

While I’m having my regular service on one of my clients, which I usually fix or troubleshoot computer problems, she offers me to drink coffee. Of course, I can’t say no when someone offers me a cup of coffee. Well, I just drink the Davidoff Coffee and it’s my first time to taste this kind of coffee. It really taste different. It’s like the "barako" coffee of the Philippines but of course the "barako" tastes even better! (of course I’m a pinoy, I patronize our products - a pinoy that talks about money - in other words pinoy money talk :D ).

Coffee and Sleeping

March 11, 2008

I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing this. Usually when you drink coffee it makes you to kill sleepiness but in my case it comes that I can’t sleep if I was not able to drink coffee in the night. Maybe its become a routine of my life and my system is looking for it before I sleep.

But of course, when I’m "over dosed" by the caffeine brought by coffee, I usually can’t sleep. My body is tired but my mind is keep on ticking like a clock looking for things to think or analyzing any idea that comes.

My advice, to avoid over-dosing of caffeine, try drinking coffee moderately and drink a lot of water. It will neutralize caffeine effects. This is not a doctor’s advice, it’s based on my experience.

Partners of Coffee

March 9, 2008

When you drink your coffee, what do you usually eat or do? Well, I list some of the partners of drinking coffee:

  • Coffee and Pandesal (pandesal is a local bread in the Philippines). Filipinos usually have their breakfast eating pandesal while sipping coffee in the morning.
  • Coffee and Newspaper. Usually drinking while reading the headlines.
  • Coffee and Computer, which I usually do drink coffee while having a mind-blogging surfing :D
  • Coffee and Donuts. I usually see this in american / foreign Cop movies.
  • Coffee and Cigarrate. I don’t do this because I don’t smoke, some of my friends usually do this.
  • Coffee and Chess. I love playing chess while drinking coffee, vis versa.
  • Coffee and TV. Watching and drinking what a combination!
  • Coffee and Sex. I never do this drinking while having fun :D
How about you what’s your favorite partner for your coffee?

Benefits of Coffee

March 6, 2008

Why I drink coffee? When I wake in the morning I drink coffe. After lunch, I still drink coffee. Before I sleep at night I still drink coffee. Maybe the reason why I always drink coffee is because of the nature of my work. I’m a programmer and my work requires my brain to work in any condition. Drinking coffee stimulated my senses and give me strength and active mind to solve problems I encountered.

Coffee aside from being a stimulant, contains anti-oxidants that prevents some diseases, like cancer, heart disease, diabetes and stroke. Actually there are some coffee products today on the market that contains more anti-oxidants than green tea and black tea. Some study also shows that drinking the recommended amount of coffee decreases blood flow to the heart, particularly during exercise at high altitude. But of course, doctors do not advice you to excessively drink coffee to lower down the risk of your diseases.

Excessive drinking of coffee may also cause some health problems. So try to drink it moderately, about three to four is not bad. Sip it baby! emoticon
